Krigara was built to make decisions that cost money if they are wrong. These are the ones it has made so far.

A hydrogen target in an exploration well

Krigara combined everything the literature knows about hydrogen in mantle rock with magnetic, gravity and seismic data to map where natural hydrogen forms and gathers in ultramafic rock. At the heart of that map, an exploration well proved the presence of gas at around 2,000 metres. In 2027 the well will be re-entered to test how much it can produce.

CO₂ mineralisation, made a hundred times more effective

When CO₂ is injected into mantle rock, it reacts and turns into stone, the most permanent storage there is. But the way it is done today is inefficient: the CO₂ is first dissolved in large volumes of water, so every well injects mostly water. Krigara found a way to leave the water out, making each well up to a hundred times more effective. It then identified the best place in Greece to prove it, and won a contract for a feasibility study and a €29M EU grant for a 150,000-tonne pilot.

Plasma chemistry

A field it had never seen

Given a plasma model for ammonia synthesis that predicted almost nothing, Krigara traced the problem to the primary sources and fixed it with published values only. The prediction moved more than five orders of magnitude towards the laboratory measurement.
